About McAndreis

McAndreis have been here for years in peaceful defiance of the Hanoverian Rule now in place. We will never accept or recognise any Monarch over Scotland other than the rightful Scottish Independence. We do not support or follow any mainstream political or religious parties or organisations of any kind whatsoever. We do not now, nor will we allow ourselves to be connected with any group, association, society, party or organisation deemed to be operating contrary to the rule of law, or deemed to be underhanded or dishonourable. We will not be affiliated with any group operating in any way or process operating contrary to the democratic processes now respected.

We intend to continue celebrating our heritage by educating those who wish to know of the real Scotland and its ways through commemorative services throughout Scotland, with gatherings, speeches, events, accurate historical accounts and social gatherings. We invite all who sincerely feel the connection to contact us or any of our affiliates for further information and assistance.

We do not hide the fact that we consider ourselves to be the Jacobites of today, supporting the monarchy that last reigned in Scotland 300 years past, although this monarchy is now outdated and extinct, it was the rightful ruler of the time. For good or ill the Stewart monarchy was and should have remained the rightful, lawful monarchs of Scotland. It is our feeling and belief, Scotland will only benefit from independence from the UK and the reinstatement of Scots Self-Rule. We celebrate what Scotland really is, our traditions and customs handed down through the generations. We do not support the Post 1746 (modern) Hanoverian brigadoonery invented, commercialised and supported by the various Clan associations, societies, groups and some Clans throughout the world who know better.

McAndreis is a cultural and politically aware group to whom membership is open no matter their race, creed, colour, religion, age or sex, providing they agree to follow the rules and regulations now in place and can meet the standards of McAndreis as well as being able to show and prove themselves to be of high moral and honourable character and good social standing.

McAndreis works hard for the betterment of Scotland, its traditions and way of life. We do this through the protection of Scotland’s heritage. By living a clan way of life, fully independent and in the traditions of our forefathers, we feel this to be the best way to preserve what we think is best for Scotland’s people. We elect and choose our own clan leadership by the consent of the clan as is proper and lawful and confirmed by the Lord Lyon (24 July 2009, Clan Convention). (See Clan News Page).
